I came across the Tempachair tonight. For RVers who like to sit outside their RVs or in front of the campfire, this chair could be for you. The Tempachair provides comfortable warmth of 120 degrees or 140 degrees for up to 4 hours
at a time through a micro fiber heating element sewn directly into the
chair’s seat. The embedded heating element is warmed by a portable rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
It has a side tray with drink holder. The other side has three outside pockets and one hidden inside pocket. It weighs under 9 pounds and supports up to 275 pounds. Folded dimensions are 36” x 20“ x 6.5”. The seat is 21" high, dining room height. Cost is $99.95 at their Website and includes chair, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, AC charger, and car charging unit. It comes in burgundy, green or navy.
This chair fits in well with camping and the RV lifestyle. It would be especially good for happy hour gatherings and potlucks. I get cold easily so this chair looks like a very good deal for me! Jaimie Hall Bruzenak

Our chairs look exactly like that; table pockets and all. But they cost $29.00 since we simply laughed out loud at the seat warmers. We keep plenty warm with a pair of socks and a sweat shirt.
At one desert camp fire last winter we all dug shallow depressions in the sand below our seats and added a few glowing embers. Anything left as we turned in for the night was returned to the fire pit and doused. Learned this from old wagon train accounts.
Sometimes "technology" becomes silly.

Good point, Marcie! That reminds me, friends did a similar thing with coals, but we put them in a pie pan. That made it easier to put the cold coals back in the fire to reheat.

I really like this idea! When my family and I went RV Camping, we would warm up our behinds the old fashioned way by putting your buns over the fire and running back to our chairs as fast as we could to incubate the heat. He he, but this chair seems like it would be an easier task of staying warm!
Thank you for your post!

Hi Jaimie-
Many thanks for your review of the tempachair- our company has developed and is marketing the chair. I would like to point out that the chair, even without the heating technology, is quite well made, and is not made to compete with less expensive chair constructions. The seats are set at dining room table height, and feature a generous width, so there's no need to try and squeeze in and out of the chair. I don't know of another chair in the marketplace with a similar roomy feel. Thanks again for taking a "first look" at this new chair.
