We have blogged before about staying in Elks Lodges that offer RV parking. Mike Kos left a comment that the Carmichael CA lodge now has an updated order form for ordering the RV travel guides. Go to the Carmichael Lodge's page and click on RV Travel Guides to bring up the pdf form. You must mail a check or money order to the Carmichael Lodge to receive your guides. There is an email address if you have questions.
Great news! These are handy to have. Many RVers join the Elks so because they do offer RV parking in many lodges, often where there are no other options. Often the lodges are downtown, giving you access to places and events where there would be limited parking. The added advantage to parking at an Elks is the inside knowledge the members can offer- cheapest fuel prices, best places to eat, things to do and see. Their parking is generally reasonably prices, sometimes by donation. And, as Ed points out below in the comments, you must nearly always be a member somewhere of an Elks Lodge in good standing to park at one. Before I became an Elk, Bill and I parked at the Petaluma, CA lodge as a guest of an RV friend who was also staying there. Jaimie Hall Bruzenak

It should be noted that, in almost all cases, parking at Elks lodges is limited to members of Elks Lodges in good standing.

Yes, Ed. Thanks for explicitly stating that. I will modify the original post.

Mike also told me the guides are updated three times a year. If your guide is older, though, just give them a call before arriving to make sure they still have RV parking available.

We're planning an upcoming cross country trip but I'd like to stay at different Elks Clubs as much as possible. I have a lot of directories, but some years ago my friend mentioned to me that there was a website where members had posted comments on various clubs parking facilities.

You do need to be a member of the Elks to stay. I know Escapees has an active Elks subgroup for members of the Escapees RV Club. You'd have to google is to see if there is information elsewhere.
