George and I just tried out a Space Bag. I was amazed at how it works and how perfect it is for RVers. To test, I chose a comforter that I store in a bag another blanket or comforter came in. Here is is loose near that bag and then me wrestling the zipper closed into that original bag.
The package of Space Bags we received had two large bags and two medium ones. Once you put something in the bag, you can either roll the air out or suck it out with a vacuum through the one-way valve. The bag seemed almost flimsy but even though I had to work to get the comforter in, the bag and seams held. It is strong!
It compressed that comforter right down! You can see how much less space it takes to store it in the new Space Bag.
A package comes with two large and two medium size bags. They have other products at their website to choose from, including some for packing items in your suitcase more efficiently, or you can purchase these bags singly.
RVers can use Space Bags to:
- Pack away blankets, linens, or out-of-season clothes until you need them. The bags are reusable so you can exchange contents or repack them later. They will take a fraction of the space.
- Protect belongings from elements- dust, pests, moisture, odors.
- Store and protect important documents like passports or financial statements from water damage.

I like the idea of the To Go bags. We have compressed things into a clear plastic garbage bag with a vacuum cleaner. Works great on the way to your destination, but not so handy once it is opened and you have no vacuum cleaner.
These would solve that problem.

I have used these around our home and while traveling but since we are getting ready to become fulltimers, these will be a great idea to save space in our Fifth Wheel! Before we go on our next camping trip over the 4th, I'm going t put the space bags I have to good use. Thanks for the tip! Cindy

I have used space bags previously so purchased more just for my RV. They do really conserve space. All my winter things and extra linens and blankets are stored nicely in them. I also have a lot of yarn I could not leave behind and it packed down into almost nothing. I was very excited.

Thanks, everyone. A garbage bag sure wouldn't work for a second filling! I would not have thought of storing yarn. Good idea.

I love spacebags! You don't need to limit with use to RVs, because they are good anywhere you want to use them.

Interested in these Space Bags I have others that will not hold their shape and just stay in my closet. Are these better

Hi Dottie, after I sucked the air out with the vacuum cleaner (or you can roll them up), they were wrinkly looking. See the photo above. They are reusable though I have not reused them yet since I just got them. They seem very sturdy.
