An advertiser at RVclassified.com bilked a woman out of $37,000 posing as a dealer in Beebe, AR. She's not the only one who lost money. Others came to see the RV, using GPS coordinates to locate Wesley Truck Sales. When they arrived, there was no business by that name anywhere in sight. Not only were they out the money they wired as a down payment on the RV, but they were out time and airfare.
This story is a reminder that scams abound on the Internet. You should not send any money until you have seen the RV. It would be a good idea to check out the title and make sure that person actually owns it. And, of course, have someone knowledgeable go over the engine as well as the structure before purchasing. Caution, caution, caution is the word.

We ran into that same issue although we didn't send any money. It was some outfit in the Mesa area. Thank goodness we had a relative who lived in the area and asked her to go take a look at it so we knew whether it was worth flying to see it. She drove by and there was no RV dealership!!!

You MUST have the rig checked out by a RV tech even if in a dealership . Do not let the salesperson convince you it is ok. They are your. Best friend u til you buy and then when you turn your money over they no longer know you. Caveat Emptor
