I think all the non working people are too busy relaxing to be on their computers to answer the survey! :)

You could be right, Keith- and then again, those who are working or volunteering won't have as much time to be looking at polls either!

When I retired, we considered the possibility of working as we traveled. After we had been traveling about 3 months in 2007, my wife was "pining" to be back home while I was ready to keep on going. Full timing, obviously, was not going to work for us.

We travel 2 to 3 months each year. Working as part of that would not be pleasant, I think.

Since we only travel part-time, I work as a contract instructor at the place I retired on a fairly regular periodic basis -- and I get to do the part of the job I really enjoy without having to deal with the administrative hassles.

I work full time (40 hours/week) on my job. I can work from anywhere, so the RV life is good for me. I don't move as much as I'd like, since moving uses vacation time.

I am a system administrator and programmer for a small web-hosting and consulting company in Missouri. Other than the owners, all the employees are work-at-home.

I would not have time to comment during the business day, but I'm waiting for a server to provision, so I have a few minutes to read blogs.

Mike, I certainly can see why you would choose not to work- your 2-3 month trips are an opportunity to see places. You wouldn't want to be tied down.

Ed- you've got a great gig for making money while you travel. At least you do have the choice to move and work in different locations, even if you don't do it that often. Better than being stuck all the time in the same place!
