Oh my heavens this is how much I want one: I've started doing much of the laundry with an old fashioned laundry plunger in a Rubbermaid tub and then drying on a clothes line. I LOATHE going to the laundrymatte. Not only is it a pain to have to do all of the laundry at once, but we spend $40-$60 per month just feeding coins into the machines. There is no good place to store the dirty laundry, so it's in a basket in the shower that must be moved when we want to use the shower. We have pets and there are times when something is so gross I want to be able to throw it straight into the washer. We don't boondock unless we're actually on the road. People don't really understand how we can be content in such a small space, but I gotta tell ya, that's NOTHING compared to the inconvenience of not having a washer. I miss my dishwasher a lot, but between the two, I'd take *at least* a washing machine first. The only thing I wouldn't do is settle for a combo or vent-free dryer. The downside to those is about as bad as hauling loads to town.

It certainly can be expensive to go to a laundromat. I do hope you get at least washer at some point!
